Sarah has been involved in writing and proofreading
for over a decade. She holds an AA degree in Liberal Arts and an AAS degree in
Accounting. Sarah has contributed to a variety of companies including Textbroker, OneSpace, NexTag, MerchantCircle, and Remilon. In addition, she volunteers
as a professional reader for NetGalley and proofreader for Distributed
Proofreaders. Sarah possesses a strong sense of perfecting text for optimal
presentation and offers exceptional attention to detail. Whether it is writing
product descriptions or articles, previous editors have personally extended
their appreciation, requiring minimal editing on their part. Sarah enjoys polishing articles for individuals and never
claim them as her own. When proofreading work for others, she allows the author's voice and style prevail while applying the rules of grammar and sentence
structure. Sarah has a keen eye
in spotting spelling and grammar errors in print and on Web publications, which
has helped numerous organizations who were unaware of the errors contained in
their material. She values the importance of accuracy, efficiency, and
confidentiality. Sarah is also a member of the International Association of Professional
Writers and Editors (IAPWE), Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), and
Copyediting.com.
She has
been a fan of the written art all of her life. Sarah is a dedicated and
conscientious writer and has composed pieces from school newspaper
contributions, poetry, and slogans at a young age to writing
catalog copy, blog posts, product descriptions, and online articles as
an adult.
